Hey,

You’ve stumbled on my blog where I talk body confidence, self acceptance, personal style, travel and everything else in between!

I definitely, don’t think my words are any more important than the next, but I hope you find something here that will inspire you.

What to Wear in London

What to Wear in London

For me, packing for any trip can be very daunting. I want to make sure I look good for any situation, but I also don’t want to overpack. I want to make sure I fit in with the style or culture of the place, so I do a lot of research, but I also want to be fairly comfortable. On my trip to London, I took with me a backpack and one medium size check in back. Since we were visiting in March, we knew it would still be a little chilly as they transitioned in to Spring and needed a wardrobe that consisted of layers and had some flexibility.

1. Outerwear:
My leather jacket, trench coat, denim jacket and oversized check coat
It seems like a lot of options but each one of these provides a different look and feel entirely. I needed to be able to dress things down on some days and feel extra posh ;) on others.

2. Leggings with pockets
Great for traveling because you can keep your money and phone real close to you without the need of a purse that can be snatched or left behind. My favorite brands are JCPenney’s Xersion and Fabletics

3. Sneakers
You’re going to be doing so much walking that I suggest forgoing the boots and sandals and sticking to sneakers—both casual and athletic work great! I wore my Nike Huarache and Keds® the most.

4. Turtlenecks & Mock Necks
These are great under layer pieces that make navigating London’s unpredictable weather a lot easier. What you thought was a chilly day could suddenly get really warm as you walk the Thames River or shop the Portobello Market.

5. High-waisted Jeans
This happens to be one of my wardrobe staples anyway but is a must when traveling. No one wants to be hiking up their pants while on a busy street or worry about showing your underwear on the tube. I brought with me a black, a dark, and a fun acid wash pair that was easy to dress up for a show at the West End or down for a tour at the Tate.
